Unveiling our new improved user interface

In the Spring release, we are excited to unveil our new and improved user interface. We have redesigned the interface to enhance usability, improve navigation, and provide a more intuitive experience for our users.

The new interface features a clean and modern design, streamlined and consistent workflows, and intuitive controls. We have focused on optimizing the user experience, making it easier for you to configure, access and analyse your data. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced user, the new user interface in inmydata will empower you to quickly and efficiently configure, explore, visualize, and derive insights from your data.

Enhanced Data Filtering

We are thrilled to introduce a much asked for enhancement, post summary data filtering capabilities. Have you ever found yourself needing to refine your charts and views based on the aggregated data? Well, now you have the power to do so effortlessly. Simply navigate to the filter dialogue, select the After Summary tab within the filter editor, and define your desired condition. This After Summary filter is designed to take effect after the data has been summarized, allowing you to precisely tailor your data views to meet your specific analysis requirements.

Improved Data Security Measures

Are you eager to empower a specific group of users with the freedom to delve into their data, ask queries in plain language, or craft their own visualizations, but have been held back due to sensitive data in the dataset? Well now you can. By simply navigating to the Filter tab in the subject editor, you can implement filters based on user-specific values at the subject level. This allows you to grant users unrestricted access to the subject, ensuring they only see data that aligns with their permissions. Feel confident in providing users with the ability to explore without compromising data security.

Introducing Scheduled Export Monitoring

Have you ever found yourself wondering about the status of report exports scheduled by your users? Perhaps you were eagerly anticipating a specific report only to realize it hadn't arrived as expected, leaving you puzzled and in the dark. Our latest feature, the scheduled export monitoring screen, is here to provide you with all the answers you seek. With this new tool, you can effortlessly track every export, monitor when it is set to run next, and access a detailed history of all recent export attempts within the last 30 days. Stay informed and in control of your data exports like never before with this invaluable monitoring capability.

Adding support for Gregorian calendars

We're always committed to meeting the diverse needs of our users, and that has led us to enhance inmydata with support for the standard Gregorian calendar. While our platform has always excelled in generating financial periods and facilitating easy period-on-period comparisons, we understand that many users also require the ability to create reports based on the traditional Gregorian calendar. Taking this feedback to heart, we are pleased to announce that you can now easily configure a Gregorian calendar in the calendar tab of your settings screen. This new feature complements our existing support for the ISO week date calendar, providing you with even greater flexibility and customization options when analysing and presenting your data.

And also ...

In addition to the headline enhancements mentioned above, we have dedicated ourselves to enhancing the platform as a whole. We've addressed some bugs, implemented various improvements, and made necessary changes to guarantee a secure, compliant platform that is not only a pleasure to use but also aligns with upcoming industry standards. Some of these changes include:

  • Upgrading our authentication server to the latest technology
  • Providing a dedicated authentication server for each OEM cluster to comply with the upcoming phaseout of third party cookies
  • Upgrading the runtime engine for the data app to improve performance
